Blemished models are units that didn't pass our inspection process due to cosmetic imperfections but are guaranteed to flip just as well as our new products.Â
Blemished product sales are final (no returns accepted)Â but they do qualify for warranty (mechanical defects only). Some of these blemished models may have varying handle versions. Blemished models come with a box and may come with the following, but not limited to:
- Light scratches
- Light dents
- Discolored or faded anodizing
- Inconsistent blade finish
- Mismatching colored handles
- Flawed or missing laser engraving
- Sharpening defects
Each and every Squid Industries balisong is hand assembled and tested to ensure that each unit is an exceptional flipper. Balisongs come thread locked.

- Surface Rust
- Staining
- Dents
- Chips
- Scratches

The Krake Raken V3 model (formerly known as the Kraken), has 7075 aluminum alloy handles and AEB-L stainless steel blades.
The highly anticipated Krake Raken balisong butterfly knife offers the first live-blade bali from Squid Industries. It features all of the precision-engineered smoothness of a Squid trainer, updated with a beautifully finished tanto blade. The channel constructed aluminum handles are built with rounded edges, a crowned spine, and bushings. The Krake Raken has been upgraded from 6061 to a 7075 aluminum alloy, which boasts a higher strength and is more durable to drops and use.
This second iteration of the Krake Raken integrates an improved aesthetic and performance. The handle ends have been rounded to decrease damage from drops and the handle texturing is now deeper, providing a better grip. The zen pins have been upgraded with harder steel to preserve the gap between the handles, and the bushing system has been redesigned to further reduce—or even negate—handle play.
